Sergio Hernandez

Sergio Hernandez, 82, of Perth Amboy, passed away on November 6, 2020 at JFK Hospice Care.

He was born in Tenares, Dominican Republic, and later immigrated to the United States.

He spent his career working as a kitchen worker for Mulberry Street Bistro in Matawan.

He was predeceased by his parents, Julian De La Cruz and Bernardina Hernandez, his son, Raul Hernandez, and his daughter Roxanna Hernandez.

He is survived by his wife, Escolastica Lizardo, his four sons, Sergio Antonio, Sergio L. Hernandez, Miguel Hernandez, Luciano Hernandez, his daughter, Dayana Hernandez, and his two stepdaughters Marcela and Maria, along with his 13 grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Monday, November 9, 2020 from 8 - 9:30 AM at Ana Maria Zevallos/Skrocki Home for Funerals, 467 State Street, Perth Amboy, NJ 08861.

Burial will take place in Alpine Cemetery.

All visitors must wear a face covering and adhere to social distancing rules at all times. We are asking visitors to limit their time in the funeral home to allow the family the maximum amount of guests possible.
