Rosa Yrey

Rosa Yrey, 99, of Woodbridge, NJ, passed away on Friday, October 21st, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her family.

Rosa was born on August 10th, 1923, to Seitoyo and Kama Tamanaja in Lima, Peru, immigrating originally to Brooklyn, then later Los Angeles in 1996. A few years later, in 1970, she then made her move to Woodbridge, NJ.

Known for her love of cooking, she enjoyed making food from both her native Peru and her Japanese heritage. A hard worker at heart, she always enjoyed her days spending time with her family.
Rosa is predeceased by her father Seitoyo Tamanaja, her mother, Kama Tamanaja, her husband Julio Yrey, and her daughter Susana Yrey.

She is survived by her son Oscar Yrey and his his wife, Juana, her daughters, Angi Yrey, Maria Yrei, Mary Yrey, her ten grandchildren and her eight great-grandchildren

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 26th, 2022, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Ana Maria Zevallos/Skrocki, Home for Funerals, 467 State Street, Perth Amboy, NJ.

Private cremation.
