Rafael Marcelino Collado

Rafael Marcelino Collado, of Perth Amboy, passed away on August 18th, 2023 at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy, NJ, at the age of 56.

Born in Cotui, Sanchez-Ramirez, Dominican Republic, Rafael was known to all as a friendly face who was loved by many and affectionately referred to as “Papa”. He was also known for his love of fishing, which he took part in whenever there was a chance.

He is predeceased by his parents, Marcelino Collado and Buenaventura Espinal, his sister, Francia, and his brother, Delfin.

Rafael is survived by his son, Rafael Collado Jr., his daughter, Sharianne Collado, his sisters, Maria “Tata”, Adela, Sonia, Aura, Alva, and Isaura Collado, his brothers, Dani, Ramon, and Naldo Collado, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 23rd, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Ana Maria Zevallos/Skrocki Home for Funerals, 467 State Street, Perth Amboy, NJ 08861.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 24th, 2023 at 9:00 AM at the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 AM mass at St. John Paul II Parish at St. Stephen’s Church.

Burial will take place at Alpine Cemetery in Perth Amboy, NJ.
