Mildred "Millie" Acevedo

Mildred Acevedo 52, of Perth Amboy, died peacefully at home on Tuesday March 22, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.

Millie was born in Isabela, Puerto Rico to Ines Arocho Feliciano and Angel Acevedo. She was the third oldest of 8 children. Millie was educated at Perth Amboy High School 1988.
A few years later in 1992 she birthed her first daughter,  
shortly after she met the love of her life Andres Febles in 1993. They purchased their dream home together in 1998 and had their first child together in 1999. They later married in 2003.
She was employee by the Perth Amboy board of education as a bus driver then promoted as a dispatcher.
Millie loved spending time with her family, singing karaoke and dancing. Millie had an open door & open heart policy, she would welcome you in with a hot cup of coffee every time.
She was always wearing a smile on her face. Truly a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. Always thinking of others first. To know her is to love her.

She was predeceased by her parents, Angel Acevedo and Ines Arocho.

Millies is survived by her loving husband Andres Febles; her two daughters, Denise Lugones and Jesica Febles; two step children, Alex Febles and Emily Febles. And her four grandchildren; Deion Sutton, Zane Hightower, Dash Hightower and Kiera Vanderpool.

Visitation will be on Sunday, March 27, 2022 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Ana Maria Zevallos/Skrocki Home for Funerals, 467 State Street, Perth Amboy, NJ 08861.

Funeral services will be on Monday, March 28, 2022 at 9 AM at the funeral home, followed by a 10 AM Mass at Holy Trinity Church.

Burial will take place in Holy Trinity Cemetery.
