Milagros Merlo

Milagros Merlo, a beloved woman known for her warm heart and creative spirit, passed away peacefully on June 9th, 2023, at the age of 92, at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy.

Milagros was born in Guayanilla, Puerto Rico, and relocated to the mainland United States 15 years ago.

She had a deep passion for writing poems and found solace in the beauty of music. In addition, Milagros delighted in the art of cooking and took pleasure in preparing delicious meals for her loved ones.

Milagros was preceded in death by her mother, Catalina Merlo, and her loving husband, Enrique De Jesus.

Milagros is survived by her five children, Edilberto Baello, Ramon, Magda, Cinty, and Ledy, who will forever carry her love in their hearts. She also leaves behind four grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and ten great-great-grandchildren, all of whom were a source of immense pride and joy for Milagros.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Ana Maria Zevallos/Skrocki Home for Funerals, 467 State Street, Perth Amboy, NJ 08861.

Funeral services will be on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at 9:30 AM at the funeral home.

Burial will take place in Alpine Cemetery.
