Marìa Esther Vega de Rodrìguez
Naciò en Palmarito, Salcedo; Abril 26, 1923.  Sus padres fueron Abelardo Vega y Emelinda Rodrìguez.
Contrajo matrimonio ante Dios a sus 21 años de edad en Mayo 7, 1945 con Roselio Rodrìguez en la iglesia de Salcedo, RD.  Luego se mudaron a Ojo de Agua, Gaspar Hernàndez.
Procrearon 15 hijos, 10 hembras y 5 varones. Roselio tenìa 3 hijos de un matrimonio anterior, ademàs criaron 3 hijos, los hijos del corazòn. Formaron una familia bien amplia, llena de amor y uniòn familiar.
Marìa practicaba la religiòn catòlica, la cual transmitiò a su descendencia. Su ocupaciòn fue ser ama de casa.
Se mudaron a Moca, RD al inicio de la dècada de los 80, buscando que sus hijos, pudieran estudiar y tener una mejor vida.
Luego se mudaron a Estados Unidos en el 1995, ya que varios de sus hijos habìan venido a vivir acà.
En la actualidad la familia se ha extendido con 49 nietos, 72 bisnietos y 34 tataranietos.
En esta familia fluyò el amor, la uniòn y los buenos valores. Ese amor perdurò a travès del tiempo. Duraron 66 años juntos, como dice la palabra de Dios, solamente la muerte lo separarìa. Roselio falleciò a los 95 años de edad y Marìa  a los 101años, agradecida de Dios por haberla bendecido con un buen esposo y una linda familia.

Maria Esther Vega de Rodriguez, 101, of Perth Amboy, passed away on July 9, 2024, at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Division of Perth Amboy.

She was born in La Vega, Dominican Republic.

 Maria Esther was predeceased by her parents, Abelardo Vega and Emelinda Rodriguez, her husband Roselio Rodriguez, and her children; Juan Rodriguez, Cristino Rodriguez, Carlitos Rodriguez and Rafaelito Rodriguez.

She is survived by her children; Maria Rodríguez, Ramona Rodríguez, Rafael Rodríguez, Luz Maria Rodríguez, Carmela Rodríguez, Viviana Rodríguez, Agapito Rodríguez and his wife Ramona Infante, Paula Rodríguez, Matilde Rodríguez, Sixta and her husband Amado Bencosme, Fioldaliza Rodríguez, Cristina Rodríguez and her husband Xavier Vargas, Lidia Rodríguez, Beatrice Lugo, Luz Maria Mena Dilone and Francisco Rodríguez. Her 49 grandchildren, 72 great grandchildren and her 34 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation Will be on Sunday, July 14, 2024, from 4-8 p.m. at Ana Maria Zevallos/Skrocki, Home for Funerals, 467 State St., Perth Amboy, NJ 08861.

Funeral services will be on Monday, July 15, 2024, at 9 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by a 10 a.m. mass at Saint John Paul II Parish.

The burial will take place in Alpine Cemetery.
