Lillie Ruth Sanders

Lillie Ruth Sanders was born on May 19, 1932. She passed on June 11, 2026, at the age of 94. Lillie leaves behind her daughter Linda (Robert deceased), two grandchildren, Andre Swan and Alethe Wilson (Joe), four great grandchildren, Drequan, Angelo, Kai and Aaliyah and three great-great grandchildren, Jaden, Harmony and Zuri. Lillie also leaves a host of relatives and friends. 

Lillie was a hard worker starting her career at the VA Hospital in East Orange, New Jersey and then moved to Phoenix, AZ where she worked at the Phoenix Baptist Hospital.  Caring for others was always a priority for her. She was also an Eastern Star. She loved to travel and lived in many states ending up in Alabama her birthplace.  She loved the food, the people and of course her family and friends. She enjoyed crocheting, word search puzzles and shopping at thrift stores. Her ultimate love was cooking big meals on Sunday.

To Mom, 

You were loved by many and known by almost everyone as the sweetest person. Mom you are going to be truly missed. You were strong; You proved that until God was ready for His Angels to bring you home you were staying.
