Lidia E Melis-Espinosa

Lidia E. Melis, 70, of Perth Amboy, passed away on Monday, March 26, 2018 at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in New Brunswick. 

Lidia was born in Bahia Honda, Cuba.  She was graduated from Jose Varon University in Habana, and worked for many years as a preschool teacher.

Lidia come to Perth Amboy 10 years ago. Also, she worked at the Puerto Rican Association doing office work.  She loved spending time with her family; enjoyed cooking, painting, sewing and gardening.  

She was predeceased by her parents, Emerito Melis and Nelida Espinosa and her husband Ismael Gonzalez in 2001.

Surviving are her two children; Ismael Gonzalez Jr. and his wife Yarelys Acosta and Alina and her husband Arturo Jimenez, six grandchildren and one great grandchildren.

 Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 28, 2018, from 4-8 PM at Ana Maria Zevallos/Skrocki Home for Funerals, 467 State Street, Perth Amboy.

Funeral Services will be at the funeral home on Thursday at 9:00 AM,   interment will follow in Alpine Cemetery.
