Jose Ruiz

Jose Ruiz, 61, of Perth Amboy, passed away on January 22, 2021at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy Division.

He was born in La Vega, Dominican Republic. Jose worked for Tropical Cheese Industries.

"Jose Ruiz was a devoted family man. As a man of faith, Jose was an active member of La Asuncion Church. To know him was to know the light in his smile, the warmth of his presence, and the never ending nature of his love. With a generous heart, Jose was always there to support those he loved and cared for in any way he could.
Jose’s life was full of happy past times including daily walks, days spent fishing, and afternoons on the porch. Above all, he loved nothing more than to spend time together with his family. The home he built together with his Wife, Carmen Genao, was a place where all were welcomed with open arms. The love he brought to all of our lives and his presence will be dearly missed."

He is survived by his wife, Carmen Genao; his 3 children, Raymond, Arisleidy and Jeydy; and his 8 siblings, Arelis Lajara, Felicia Viñas Ruiz, Ana De Jesus, Tatica Molina, Rolando Ruiz, Fidel Ruiz, Rafaelito Ruiz and Tabito Ruiz.

Visitation will be on January 26, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Ana Maria Zevallos/Skrocki Home for Funerals, 467 State Street, Perth Amboy, NJ 08861.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at 9 AM from the Funeral Home, followed by a 10 AM Mass at St. Stephen’s Church.

Burial will take place in Alpine Cemetery.

All visitors must wear a face covering and adhere to social distancing rules at all times. We are asking visitors to limit their time in the funeral home to allow the family the maximum amount of guests possible.
