Jose Jesus Hernandez

Jose Jesus Hernandez, 73 years old, died December 28, 2023, at Raritan Bay Center of Perth Amboy.

He was born in Michoacán, Mexico and has lived in Perth Amboy, his second home, for nearly 50 years.

He is preceded in death by his mother Eloisa Hernandez, his two brothers, Eliceo and Jose Luis, and his first wife Francisca Barrera Hernandez. 

He is survived by his loving wife Maria Ramirez Hernandez, his twin sister Maria Hernandez Manriquez, his daughters Eloisa Hernandez Ramos, Herminia Herrera, Teresa Hernandez, Carmen Jacobo and Elena Urieta, their spouses and their 13 children. He was also survived by his caring stepchildren Eliceo, Jose Luis, Sandra Ivette and Amaranta Ivonne Perez, with their spouses and 14 children as well as countless cousins, nieces and nephews, and 2 step great grandchildren.

Jose enjoyed walking to local parks, dancing, going to Dunkin Donuts and to local restaurants with his wife. He is remembered as a loving father and grandfather.

Visitation will be on Thursday, January 4, 2024, from 5 PM to 9 PM at Ana Maria Zevallos/Skrocki Home for Funerals, 467 State Street, Perth Amboy, NJ 08861.

Funeral services will be on Friday, January 5, 2024, at 9 AM at the funeral home, followed by a 10 AM Mass at La Asuncion Church.

Burial will take place at Alpine Cemetery, Perth Amboy, NJ.
