John Michael Swayze was born in Trenton, NJ on December 19, 1955 and went to be with the Lord on August 19, 2020. He was a proud Vietnam Veteran who served in the U.S. Airforce. He loved his family and his country. He enjoyed spending time with his daughters and grandchildren, eating at diners, watching sports, and making people laugh. He was a retired Local 30 Roofer who liked telling his family about the roofs he built.
He was predeceased by his parents, William and Evelyn, his sisters Nadine and Sandra and his brother Billy.
He is survived by his two daughters, Kristen and Jennifer. Four grandchildren, Yerami, Javione, Analia and Mariana, special family Wendy and Domingo, Nieces Debby and Katie, Nephew John, Sister in Law Erin, and his 3 beloved cats. He was dear and loved and will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be on Saturday August 22, 2020 from 8:30 AM – 9:30 AM at Ana Maria Zevallos/Skrocki Home for Funerals, 467 State Street, Perth Amboy, NJ 08861, followed by a 10 AM Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Fatima Church.
Burial will take place in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Keasbey.
All visitors must wear a face covering and adhere to social distancing rules at all times. We are asking visitors to limit their time in the funeral home to allow the family the maximum amount of guests possible.
