James “Jim” Michael Rosa, 63, passed away on April 19, 2026, in Lakewood, New Jersey.
Jim began his career with the United States Postal Service shortly after graduating high school, where he dedicated many years of hard work and service. It was there that he met his wife, Gina. Together, they built a life centered around family, love, and the simple joys that meant the most to Jim. He was a proud and loving father to his children, Jimmy, Thalia, and Shirley.
Jim found happiness in life’s quiet, everyday moments. He loved fishing and hunting, and he had a way of sharing random facts and stories that always stayed with you. Having spent most of his life down the shore, he felt most at peace near the water. He often said that if his body allowed it, he would spend every day out on the boat fishing. Some of the family’s best memories were made on the water, taking the boat out to explore, swim, and go crabbing in Forked River.
Jim had an easygoing nature and a sense of humor that brought comfort and joy to those around him. He will be remembered for his stories, his love of the outdoors, and his appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and all who knew him.
Jim is survived by his wife, Gina Rosa; his children, Jimmy, Thalia, and Shirley; his brother, Anthony Rosa; and his nieces, Linzie, Kelsey, and Jenna.
A service will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Ana Maria Zevallos/ Skrocki, Home for funerals, 467 State St, Perth Amboy, NJ 08861.
