Helena Kuziemska Kantowska

Helena Kuziemska Kantowska, 89, of Sayreville, passed peacefully at Saint Joseph’s nursing home in Woodbridge on Tuesday February 27, 2018

Helena was born in Bzowo, Poland. She moved to USA in 1972.

She was a member of St. John Paul II Altar Rosary Society. She was employed by Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy in the housekeeping department, from 1975 until her retirement in 1990.

She was predeceased by her husband Mieczyslaw Kantowski in 1989, daughter Janina Malolepsza in 2005, parents Franciszek Kuziemski in 1983 and Helena Zaremba Kuziemska in 1984 and her brothers: Boleslaw, Jozef, Edmund, Kazimierz, Mieczyslaw, and Reverend Ignacy Kuziemski.

Helena is survived by her daughter Gabriela Swistak and her husband Gregor Lorkowski, son Mark Kantowski and his wife Elizabeth De Santo; five grandchildren; Cathy Mastorio and her husband Mark, Steven Swistak, Tracy l. Laven, Marcin Malolepszy, Sara Lynn and her husband Patrick Hannan; four great grandchildren; Zakary and Trevor Mastorio, Kiele and Mason Swistak; two brothers in Poland, Konrad and Franciszek Kuziemski. She also is survived by many cousins, sisters in-law, nephews, nieces and many friends.

She loved her family, she cherished her grand and great-grandchildren, and she loved to travel, mostly to Poland visiting her family.

Visiting on Thursday, March 1, 2018 from 4 – 8 PM at Ana Maria Zevallos/Skrocki, Home for Funerals, 467 State Street, Perth Amboy.

Funeral services will be at 9 AM, Friday, March 2, 2018 followed by a 10 AM Mass at Saint John Paul II Parish at St. Stephen’s Church. Burial will follow in Saint Stanislaus Cemetery, Sayreville.

In lieu of flowers, donations in the memory of Helena can be made to Saint Joseph's Nursing Home, Woodbridge or Saint John Paul II Parish, Perth Amboy.
