Gustavo Cifuentes

Gustavo Cifuentes, 86, of Perth Amboy passed away at home on July 30, 2020, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Abejorral, Colombia, He moved to USA in 1965.

He was communicant of St. Mary’s Church and St. Stephen’s Church, a very active Asher for many years.

He worked for CELOTEX Co., and for Charlie’s Restaurant as a host.

Gustavo enjoyed playing with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his beloved wife Mariela Castano Cifuentes, his son Walter Cifuentes and his wife Dawn. He is also survived by his two grandchildren,  Luke Cifuentes and Jack Cifuentes. And, his 3 nephews; Alvaro Castano, Gustavo Castano and John Castano.

Visitation will be on Sunday, August 2, 2020 from 6-8 PM at Ana Maria Zevallos/Skrocki Home for Funerals, 467 State Street, Perth Amboy, NJ 08861.

Funeral services will be on Monday, August 3, 2020, at 8:30 AM at the funeral home, followed by a 10 AM Funeral Liturgy at Saint Stephen’s Church at Saint John Paul II Parish.

Burial will take place in St. Stephen’s Cemetery in Keasbey.

All visitors must wear a face covering and adhere to social distancing rules at all times. We are asking visitors to limit their time in the funeral home to allow the family the maximum amount of guests possible.
