Eufemio Gregorio Jerez Collado, 71, of Perth Amboy, passed away peacefully at his residence on Monday, September 8, 2025.

He was born in Santiago, Dominican Republic, and immigrated to the United States in 1999. In his homeland, he worked as a floor manager of a restaurant, and in the U.S. his last employment was with a CONAGRA food...

Eufemio will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a hardworking man who dedicated his life to his family. Known for his friendly, humorous, and dynamic personality, he brought joy to all who knew him. He especially enjoyed watching boxing.

He was predeceased by his parents, Agustín María Jerez and Mercedes Collado.

Surviving are his beloved wife, Reyna Abreu; his parents, Agustín María Jerez and Mercedes Collado, his two children, Álvaro Jerez and Cindy Jerez, along with her husband Edwin Gómez; and his three cherished grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Ana Maria Zevallos/Skrocki, Home for Funerals, 467 State Street, Perth Amboy, NJ 08861. Interment will follow at Forest Green Park Cemetery, Morganville, NJ.

Eufemio Gregorio Jerez Collado, de 71 años, residente de Perth Amboy, falleció en paz en su residencia el lunes 8 de septiembre de 2025.

Nació en Santiago, República Dominicana, y emigró a los Estados Unidos en 1999. En su país natal se desempeñó como  capitan de camareria, y en los Estados Unidos trabajó en CONAGRA.

Eufemio será recordado como un esposo, padre, abuelo, hermano, tío y amigo ejemplar. Fue un hombre trabajador, dedicado profundamente a su familia. Su carácter amigable, alegre y dinámico dejó huellas en quienes lo conocieron. Entre sus pasatiempos, disfrutaba especialmente ver boxeo.

Le sobreviven su amada esposa, Reyna Abreu; sus padres, Agustín María Jerez y Mercedes Collado.sus dos hijos, Álvaro Jerez y Cindy Jerez, junto a su esposo Edwin Gómez; y sus tres queridos nietos.

Las horas de visita serán el viernes 12 de septiembre de 2025, de 9:00 AM a 11:00 AM en Ana Maria Zevallos/Skrocki, Home for Funerals, 467 State Street, Perth Amboy, NJ 08861. El sepelio se llevará a cabo en Forest Green Park Cemetery, Morganville, NJ.
