Emilia Karolina (Majdosz) Skubienski, 82, of Hazlet died Sunday, June 24, 2018, at Bay shore Community Hospital, Holmdel.
She was born in Jasliska, Poland. Emilia was a lifelong resident in the city of Perth Amboy, lived on Charles Street and Summit Avenue, before moving in with her son In Hazlet NJ a few years ago.
She was a survivor of WWII in Poland and she immigrated to the USA in 1968 and then married John Skubienski in 1971.
She was a member of Saint John Paul II Parish at St. Stephen's R.C. Church, Perth Amboy.
Predeceased by her parents, Sylwester Majdosz and Karolina Grzegorczyk and husband John Skubienski, September 2, 2008
She is survived by her son, Michael Skubienski and son-in-law Gerard O’Brien of Hazlet and four grandchildren; Danielle Lynn, Nicole Brooke, Michael Christopher and John Jerry.
She was a Homemaker and loved to garden, sow and cook Polish food! She will be missed greatly by her beloved family and friends!
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday at the Ana Maria Zevallos/Skrocki, Home for Funerals, 469 State St., Perth Amboy, followed by a 10 a.m. Funeral Mass at Saint John Paul II Parish at St. Stephen's R.C. Church, Perth Amboy. Burial will be at St. James Cemetery, Woodbridge. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
