Claribel Marte de Carrasco

Claribel Marte de Carrasco, 59, of Perth Amboy, passed away unexpectedly at her residence on Sunday, October 12, 2025.

She was born in Santiago Rodríguez, Dominican Republic, and immigrated to the United States in 2009. Claribel worked as a caregiver and was known for her dedication, compassion, and generosity toward others.

She devoted her life to her family. Everything she had she shared with them. Her greatest priority was always her parents in the Dominican Republic, whom she lovingly protected and supported. Claribel was a hardworking woman who constantly sought to provide for her loved ones.

She was a devoted mother and grandmother who made many sacrifices for her family. Claribel found joy in cooking for her loved ones and ensuring that everyone around her was happy. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Claribel was a communicant of Saint John Paul II Parish in Perth Amboy.

She is survived by her parents, Hermógenes Marte and Clara Luz Rodríguez; her husband, Alcenio Carrasco; her two daughters, Camila Carrasco Marte and her husband Dionel A  Jerez, and Claritza A. Carrasco Marte and her husband Jonathan Paulino; and her beloved grandchildren, Dylan A. Jerez, Bella Jerez, Jay Paulino Carrasco, and Jayden Paulino Carrasco.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2025, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Ana Maria Zevallos/Skrocki Home for Funerals, 467 State Street, Perth Amboy, NJ.

Funeral services will be on Friday, October 17, 2025, at 9:00 AM at the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 AM Mass at Saint John Paul II Parish at St. Stephen’s Church. Interment will follow at St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Keasbey.
