Bogdan Orbik

Bogdan Orbik, age 63, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Robert Wood Johson University Hospital with his family at bedside. Bogdan was born April 1, 1961, in Augustow, Poland to Stanislaw and Leokadia Orbik. He emigrated to the U.S. in 1982 with his brother Zbigniew and his father Stanislaw Orbik by his side. He then settled and started a family of his own in Perth Amboy, where he resided for the past 42 years.

Bogdan worked as a mechanic for the past several decades at FedEx and was hoping to retire in the next few years. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his wit, his strength, his kind heart and his love for his family. Bogdan embraced life to the fullest, despite facing many health challenges along the way. One of his greatest accomplishments was being a successful kidney transplant recipient of 17 years. His greatest passions were fishing, boating, crabbing and motorcycle riding.

Bogdan is survived by his wife of 37 years, Barbara; his only child, Camilia; his sister, Krystyna; his brother-in-law Krzysztof; his mother, Leokadia; his three nieces: Angelika, Katarzyna and Michele, along with their children: Gabriella, Jacob, Eva, Anastasia and Hendryk.

He was preceded and now reunited in death by his beloved brother, Zbigniew and his beloved father, Stanislaw.

Bogdan has touched so many lives over the years. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family.

Visitation will be at Ana Maria Zevallos/Skrocki, Home for Funerals, 467 State St., Perth Amboy, NJ on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, from 5:00pm until 9:00pm. Final viewing at the funeral home will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at 9 am. Followed by Funeral Mass at 10am, at St. John Paul II Parish at St. Stephen’s Church.

Burial will take place at The National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa, located in Doylestown, Pennsylvania
