Antonia Sanchez ( Antonia Urteaga Briones de Sanchez), 96, of Perth Amboy, passed away on August 13, 2020, at Saint Peter’s University Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

 She was born in Cajamarca, Peru, she moved  to Perth Amboy in 1996, she worked for Arzobispo Loayza Hospital in the emergency room.  

Antonia was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church.

Always, she was helping the needed, she accepted responsibility for others with a generous and loving heart. She enjoyed knitting and embroidering, dancing, singing, and music from Cajamarca. She loved played the harmonica.

She was predeceased by her husband Diego Ernesto Sanchez, her parents Antonio Urteaga and Delfina Briones.

Antonia is survived by her six children; Victor Segundo Lazo Urteaga and his wife Marina, Maria Tereza Velarde Urteaga and her husband Luis , Juan Manuel Alegre Urteaga, Maria Lucia Sanchez Urteaga , Diego Ernesto Sanchez Urteaga, and  Antonio Daniel Sanchez Urteaga; her grandchildren,  Victor Antonio, Juan Francisco, Abraham Daniel, Moises Baltazar, Luis Enrique, Diana Marian, Milagros Isabel, Bruno Sanchez, Gaetana Sanchez, Gretta Sanchez, Gutty Sanchez, Daniel Sanchez, Tony Sanchez, Fabrizio Sanchez,  Giovana Leonardi Velarde, Gianina Leonardi Velarde, Cesar Leonardi Velarde, Diego Jesus Sanchez, and Luis Emilio Perez Sanchez. And her great grandchildren; Dayana, Xiomara, Valentino, Karloadrian, Joaquin, Bryana, Leyza, Luciano, Gianella, Sami, Zuri, Mariana, Luciana, Tony, Luhana, Selena.

Visitation will be on Sunday, August 16, 2020 from 6- 8 PM at Ana Maria Zevallos/Skrocki, Home for Funerals, 467 State Street, Perth Amboy NJ 08861.

Funeral services will be on Monday, August 17, 2020, at 8:30 AM at the funeral home, followed by 10 AM Mass at Our Lady of Fatima Church.

Burial will take place at Forest Green Park Cemetery.

All visitors must wear a face covering and adhere to social distancing rules at all times. We are asking visitors to limit their time in the funeral home to allow the family the maximum amount of guests possible.

NUESTRA ADORADA MADRE TRABAJO EN EL HOSPITAL ARZOBISPO LOAYZA COMO ENFERMERA DE SALA DE OPERACIONES DE EMERGENCIA Y LABORO DURANTE 30 AÑOS AL SERVICIO DEL MINISTERIO DE SALUD.  DURANTE SU GESTIÓN COMO TRABAJADORA DE SALUD ERA UNA PERSONA MUY HUMANITARIA HACIA MUCHA AYUDA SOCIAL AL PROJIMO Y A SUS VECINOS CON ATENCIONES MEDICAS Y CON OPERACIONES DE CIRUGIA A LAS PERSONAS MAS NECESITADAS.
EN EL HOSPITAL ARZOBISPO LOAYZA ERA MUY QUERIDA POR EL PERSONAL MÉDICO Y ENFERMERAS POR SUS SENCILLEZ Y HUMILDAD DE PERSONA CARITATIVA Y MUY IDENTIFICADA CON SU TRABAJO.
LE GUSTABA HACER BROMAS ENTRE SUS AMISTADES Y SERES QUERIDOS,  ADORABA SU JARDIN Y PLANTAS, ESPECIALMENTE, LAS ROSAS.  LE GUSTABA TEJER Y BORDAR.
TAMBIEN ADORABA TOCAR SU RONDIN, CANTABA SUS CANCIONES DE CARNAVAÑES DE CAJAMARCA Y SUS LINDOS PASILLOS DE CARMENCITA LARA; LIBERTAD LAMARQUE ERA SU CANTANTE FAVORITA.

MUY QUERIDA POR SU FAMILIARES DE LIMA Y CAJAMARCA, ERA UNA BELLA PERSONA COMO MADRE,  CARIÑOSA CON TODOS SUS SERES QUERIDOS;  ESPECIALMENTE CON SUS HIJOS, NIETOS Y BISNIETOS.
EMIGRÓ A LOS ESTADOS UNIDOS EN 1996,  GRACIAS A NUESTRO  TÍO GERARDO SANCHEZ MONTELLANOS, FUE EL GESTOR DE TODOS SUS HERMANOS DE CAMBIARLES SU DESTINO A ESTE LINDO PAIS QUE LOS RECIBIO Y LES DIO MUCHAS OPORTUNIDADES DE TRABAJO.
LABORO,  ACA EN USA POR UN TIEMPO NO ERA AMANTE DE PASAR EL INVIERNO ACÁ; SIEMPRE,  EN VERANO SE ESCAPABA A PERÚ A VER A SUS HIJOS Y NIETOS, DESPUES RETORNABA.

 ACA SE ENCONTRO CON MUCHAS PERSONAS QUE LOS CONOCIO CUANDO ERAN NIÑOS,  AHORA SON PADRES DE FAMILIA Y ABUELOS .ELLA RECUERDA A MUCHOS DE ELLOS QUE LOS ATENDÍA CUANDO SE ENFERMABAN Y A SUS QUERIDOS PADRES, SIEMPRE CON EL CARIÑO Y AMOR AL PROJIMO. ERA UNA GRAN MUJER QUE NUNCA DECIA NO SEA,  LA HORA QUE FUERA CUANDO LA NECESITABAN.
 

VIVIÓ  RODEADA DE SUS HIJOS, NIETOS Y COMPARTIÓ MUCHO CON SU PAREJA, DIEGO SÁNCHEZ. LINDOS RECUERDOS EN FAMILIA Y AMISTADES.
SUS HIJOS, NIETOS Y BISNIETOS LE RECORDARAN COMO LA GRAN MADRE, ABUELA Y BISABUELA  QUE FUE, SE ROBO EL CORAZON DE TODOS Y RESTO DE SU QUERIDA FAMILIA. RECORDARAN LOS LINDOS RECUERDOS VIVIDOS EN LIMA Y USA.
 

MADRE,  DEJAS UN GRAN VACIO EN CASA,  AHORA PARTISTE AL LADO DE NUESTRO CREADOR,  TODOPODEROSO QUE, ES MI DIOS; QUEDARAS EN EL CORAZON DE TODOS TUS HIJOS,  NIETOS Y BISNIETOS QUE,  LLORAN  TU PARTIDA. GRACIAS A NUESTRA ADORADA MADRE POR SUS ENSEÑANZAS, SABIDURÍAS, PACIENCIA Y AMOR, DIOS TE TENGA EN SU GLORIA.
